On completion the intern will have attained skills in and considerable knowledge of the workings of Local Authorities and the technical knowledge and skills required in drawing up and developing training programmes etc.

Skills Requirements:                The successful candidate will be required to have a third level qualification in engineering/technician applicable to the areas already outlined, i.e. roads, water and environmental and be expected to work on their own initiative with support.
