A Cork engineering company is to create 40 new jobs in its design and manufacturing divisions.

The jobs at Charleville engineering company BCD are the result of a new multi-million euro vaccine plant project in the Asian market.

The north Cork company currently employs 190 staff.

Elsewhere, Donnybrook Fair created 20 new jobs as it opened its new shop at Grand Canal Square in Dublin.

The company said the opening will also support jobs in the wider food industry in Ireland as it continues to champion artisan producers and local Irish suppliers.

Donnybrook Fair’s other stores are located on Morehampton Road, Donnybrook, Baggot Street, Stillorgan and Greystones.

It employs over 270 people across the business.
