Welcome to the Roscrea Job Club blog or should I say re-blog as I don’t actually blog about things. I find more interesting subjects online to re-blog.  But if you are here, then I’m hoping you are looking for support while you search for work.

The Roscrea Job Club provides a friendly but professional service to people in the Roscrea and surrounding areas.

The service and resource room is FREE to registered clients.

We are here to work with people from the below categories (this list is not exhaustive)

Target Groups:

•Long-term unemployed over three years

•Long-term unemployed for 12 months

•Lone Parents

•Ex- Prisoners

•Migrant Workers

•Ethnic Minorities

•Homeless People

•Early School Leavers

•Persons with Disability

•Members of the Travelling Community

•People with significant educational disadvantage

•Persons in treatment and rehabilitative programmes

•Spouses of long-term unemployed (‘qualified adults’)

•Individuals who are not in receipt of payments but are significantly disadvantaged through distance.

•Those who are “under-employed” in low paid positions.

Objectives of the Project:

•Actively advertise for and recruit participants.

•Refer people to other training programs if not job ready.

•Provide a fully equipped job seekers resource centre – 2 PC’s with broadband access, telephone facilities, photocopying and printing facilities

•Provide a fully equipped training room for Job Seeking Skills Training.

•To work with key organisations and agencies such as Dept Social, Family Affairs, Probation Services, FAS Employment Services, North Tipperary Supported Employment, North Tipperary VEC and other interested agencies.

•To work with employers to successfully place clients.
